Shama NGO from the first day of its establishment, always worked for the social justice, welfare, education and health for women, children, and the elderly by organising special programs, seminars, counseling workshops, awareness camps, campaigns, camps for legal rights of women. Etc.
We also raised voice against atrocities on women, campaigned to encourage sports for the better health of children, worked to promote social knowledge etc.,from time to time.
Foeticide, infanticide, medical neglect, child marriage, bride burning, sexual abuse, forced marriage, rape, prostitution, and workplace sexual harassment are all forms of violence against women, and the perpetrators can be partners or in-laws.
Campaign on serious topics like crimes against women and domestic violence Shama NGO is committed to the safety, education, development and respect of women and children, that’s why the members of the organization played their full participation in the movement to hang the rapists by Mrs Swati Maliwal, Chairperson of Delhi Women’s Commission.
Shama NGO keeps making women aware of their rights and respect with every work, while taking forward this campaign, the organization has presented the lives of women who sacrificed their lives for the upliftment of the society in the history of the country, in front of today’s girls and women, like the late Savitri Bai Phule, late Fatima Sheikh, Rani Lakshmibai, Begum Hazrat Mahal, Kalpana Chawla, Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal, Mithali Raj etc.
To create awareness about the legal rights of women. Many camps have been organized for the women of every section of society regarding their social, legal, and constitutional rights, by Shama NGO, to provide legal information and legal assistance to many oppressed, crushed women for their respect, rights and security. Work has been done under which efforts have been made to benefit more than 5000 women.
Programs to empower women Many tailoring, embroidery, beautician, education and different types of skill training centres are being run by Shama NGO, in which women are being enabled to support their family financially so that they do not become the weakness of their family but become their strength. Under this mission, efforts were made to benefit more than 8000 women and girls.
